چکیده

Purpose Narrow band-ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) is efficacious for atopic dermatitis (AD). However, its detailed mechanism remains to be elucidated. The purpose of this study explore an in vivo-effect NB-UVB on AD, utilizing MC903-induced AD model mice. Method To induce AD-like dermatitis, MC903, a vitamin D3 analogue, was applied the shaved dorsal skin C57BL/6 mice once day twelve days. Mice were irradiated with 308-nm excimer lamp at 100 mJ/cm2 every other from days 0 10. Clinical severity evaluated 0-12. Epidermal thickness and infiltrating cells assessed 12, respectively. Real time polymerase chain reaction performed assess mRNA levels cytokines lesions 4,7 12. Furthermore, moisture level pH Results Irradiation alleviated clinically 4 pathologically reduced epidermal number layers Foxp3-positive into increased 12 MC903-applied compared those without irradiation, although significant increase IL-10 not observed In addition, irradiation expression thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) 4. almost same as irradiation. Conclusions ameliorated reduction TSLP levels.

ΔNp63 Controls a TLR3-Mediated Mechanism That Abundantly Provides Thymic Stromal Lymphopoietin in Atopic Dermatitis

In the skin lesions of atopic dermatitis (AD), keratinocytes release large quantities of thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), causing unfavorable inflammation along with skin damage. Nevertheless, how TSLP influences keratinocytes themselves is still unknown. In this study, we showed that ΔNp63, a p53-homologue, predominantly expressed in keratinocytes regulated the receptor complex of TSLP, wh...

Thymic stromal lymphopoietin variation, filaggrin loss of function, and the persistence of atopic dermatitis.

IMPORTANCE Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common chronic illness of childhood. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the association between thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) variation and the persistence of skin symptoms of AD. DESIGN, SETTING, AND PARTICIPANTS A prospective cohort study was conducted in the general community. Participants included 796 children enrolled in the Pediatric Eczema Elective Reg...

Spontaneous atopic dermatitis in mice expressing an inducible thymic stromal lymphopoietin transgene specifically in the skin

The cytokine thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) has recently been implicated in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis (AD) and other allergic diseases in humans. To further characterize its role in this disease process, transgenic mice were generated that express a keratinocyte-specific, tetracycline-inducible TSLP transgene. Skin-specific overexpression of TSLP resulted in an AD-like phenotyp...
